Rush Information:
Rush for Sigma Phi Lambda happens once a year during the beginning of the fall semester. Rush is an opportunity for interested women to learn more about Sigma Phi Lambda. It is a time for you to decide if you would like to be a part of this fellowship. The most important thing to remember is that we do not choose you, you choose us. If you are a female student at Texas State University, you can join Phi Lamb!

To be a pledge, the young lady must:

•  She must be under or seeking the covering of a church home.
• She must be actively involved in a Bible study.
  
• She must attend 80% of the pledge meetings and 80% of the active meetings.
• She must pay semester dues to Sigma Phi Lambda.
  
•  She must attend the pledge retreat.
  
•  She must attend a pledge Bible Study once a week.
  
•  She must fulfill her service requirement

 Pledge Meetings are (starting Sept 12) Mondays in LBJ 3-14.1 at 7-8:30 PM

Dues are $170 the pledge semester and $160 after you become an active. Please don't let money keep you from joining Phi Lamb. We offer help, scholarships, installments and more. We want you to join and will do whatever we can to help!

Pledge Retreat is the 16th-18th of September.

As a pledge, you will also be assigned a "Big." Your big will help you in your transition into Phi Lamb, will encourage your spiritual growth and will encourage you at all times. Plus, you will get to know each other through bonding activities we plan geared toward you and your big becoming closer. 

At the end the pledge period (five weeks), you must attend the initiation ceremony. This ceremony is held in a church and there is never any hazing.
